Goal Setting For Network Marketers

They say that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is an example of madness.

Knowing the basic secret to success and not acting on it could be deserving of the same label.

When you talk to anyone these days they will all agree that to achieve any success you need to have written goals but when pressed further, less than 15% of those same people will be able to produce their list of WRITTEN goals.

The other 85% all have valid reasons as to why they have not yet written their goals down. This needs to change.

The great, late, motivator Paul J Meyer used to say 'If you are not making the progress you want in life it is because your goals aren't clearly enough defined.'

Zig Ziglar takes it a bit further and says 'you are either a walking generality or a meaningful specific.'

Both these speakers have influenced me over the past 25 years and I have embraced written goal setting in all aspects of my life.

It is particularly relevant in building a Network Marketing business where one month can run quickly into the next and unless you have very clear monthly, weekly and daily targets then time will pass you and those goals by.

Half way through the month is a good time to critically review your progress and to be harsh upon your performance.

What do you need to change?

What do you need to do more of?

What is working?

What isn't?

Why not?

Reflect back on the target you set at the start of the month and how that is important in relation to your long term goal.

Make the changes necessary and focus on using the 2nd half of the month to achieve more than you did in the 1st half.

This habit is a great test of whether the goal that you are working on is actually worth the effort. Online Network Marketing is not a get rich quick business but it is a business that can make you rich provided you use your time well and follow a simple plan.

We all have the same number of hours in a day. How we use those will be dependent on where we want to end up and how we have planned to get there. Make sure that you have simple list of things that will propel you to where you want end up. Start today and create your dream tomorrow.
